Philippine regulatory consultation sees good response

A public consultation on the draft Philippine Natural Gas Regulation attracted participation from more than 50 local and foreign companies, according to the Business Mirror.

The Philippines is prioritising LNG imports as its only gas field is set to be depleted by 2024.

The consultation, run by the Department of Energy (DOE), included plans to develop the country’s gas industry and transform the Philippines into an LNG trading and transshipment hub for Asia Pacific.
