Axel Wietfeld, managing director of Uniper Energy Storage, spoke to Interfax Natural Gas Daily on the sidelines of the European Gas Summit in Rotterdam. He shared his concerns about the worsening economic conditions for storage site operators in Germany and indicated power-to-gas as a promising solution to preserve a role for gas – and gas storage operators – in a decarbonised future.
