Statoil receives permit for wildcat well in Gina Krog field

Norwegian company Statoil has received a drilling permit for a wildcat well in the Gina Krog field in the central part of the North Sea.

Norwegian company Statoil has received a drilling permit for a wildcat well in the Gina Krog field in the central part of the North Sea, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate said in a note on Friday.

The 15/6-14 S well, located in production licence 029 C, will be drilled by the Maersk Integrator drilling facility.

Statoil operates the Gina Krog field with a 58.7% stake alongside Total E&P Norge (15%), KUFPEC Norway (15%), PGNiG Upstream Norway (8%) and Aker BP (3.3%).
