Pipeline operator TransCanada announced on Thursday the cancellation of its Energy East and Eastern Mainline pipeline projects.
The 4,500-km Energy East pipeline would have delivered oil from Alberta and Saskatchewan to eastern Canada. The Eastern Mainline project included a new gas pipeline and compression facilities on TransCanada’s existing systems in southern Ontario.
