Japan’s Tokyo Gas will not sign LNG contracts with destination clauses, Reuters reported company President Michiaki Hirose as saying.

His comments follow the publication of guidelines by the Japan Fair Trade Commission that identified conditions in which destination clauses can impinge upon free trade.

Tokyo Gas is in talks to renew its supply contracts and can use the findings to ensure it receives favourable deals.
