South Korea’s LNG imports were up by 32% year on year in August, taking imports to just below 25 mt for the first eight months of 2017. This is 22% higher than the same period in 2016 and puts the country on course to import around 37 mt of LNG over the whole year. This is roughly equivalent to the level of imports in 2014, when many of the country’s nuclear power plants...
