Central Horizon Gas Company, a joint venture between the government of Nigeria’s Rivers state and indigenous company Oando, has almost finished extending the gas distribution network in the Port Harcourt area through an 8.5-km pipeline, according to Nigerian newspaper The Guardian.
The agreement to extend the network was made in 2011. The gas will be used to power sugar refineries, according to the report.
