PetroChina subsidiary Southwest Oil & Gas Field’s mature fields are producing 18.0 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) of gas, PetroChina has said.

Five new wells had been launched as of 24 September, with total output averaging 1.8 MMcm/d. Several new wells will be launched in the fourth quarter, with production capacity amounting to a total of 2.6 MMcm/d.

The Xiangguosi underground storage depot has stored 4.05 billion cubic metres to date – reaching its designed capacity – and will be able to supply 14.0 MMcm/d...
