Ukraine has almost doubled the amount of gas it has in underground storage since the end of the last heating season, according to preliminary data from Ukrtransgaz.
Inventories amounted to 16.0 billion cubic metres on 23 September, up from 8.1 bcm on 22 March.
Current storage levels are 15.5% higher than they were at the same time last year and 4.2% up on the same date in 2015, although they are 2.8% down on 2014, according to Interfax calculations.
