India and Australia accounted for 72% of all rigs exploring for gas in the Asia Pacific region in August. Australia gained one rig last month, taking its total to 12, which was a 300% rise compared with the same month in 2016. There were a total of six countries exploring for gas in August, with Malaysia dropping its one rig after four months of exploration.
