The EU will award a €79 million ($94 million) grant to part-fund the construction of the 130 km-long Zdzieszowice-Wrocław pipeline in southwest Poland, the European Commission said on Thursday.

The money will come from the European Regional Development Fund, the commission said.

The pipeline is part of the North-South Corridor included in the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas’s Ten Year Network Development Plan 2017.

The commission has identified it as a Project of Common Interest for trans-European energy infrastructure.
