The decline in Mexico’s gas production appears to have accelerated, according to statistics cited by local press.

State-run Pemex produced 142.7 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) in August, 11.4% less than during the same month in 2016 and the lowest level for more than 11 years.

Pemex’s gas production peaked at 199.1 MMcm/d in 2009.
