Japan and India to bolster ties through energy project cooperation

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is visiting India and seeking to strengthen ties between the two countries through foreign policy cooperation and energy projects, according to Livemint.

The two countries are collaborating on building an LNG terminal in Sri Lanka.

They are also looking to expand their involvement in the energy sectors of Bangladesh and Myanmar to counter China’s One Belt, One Road initiative.
