Gazprom to boost capacity of Punginskoye storage to 3.5 bcm

Gazprom will increase the working capacity of its Punginskoye gas storage facility from 2.5 billion cubic metres to 3.5 bcm by October, the Russian company has confirmed.

The work will boost the facility’s maximum daily withdrawal capacity from 19.6 million cubic metres (MMcm) to 43 MMcm.

The expansion was originally scheduled to be finished by August.

Gazprom aims to have injected 2.14 bcm of gas into Punginskoye by the end of September.
