First US cargo arrives at Rovigo terminal

The Adriatic LNG terminal, off the cost of Rovigo in Italy, has received its first cargo from the United States, the operating company said in a note on Tuesday.

The tanker delivering the cargo left the Sabine Pass plant on 22 August.

"Adriatic LNG continues to expand its LNG supply sources, allowing Italy to further diversify its sources," the company said.

The terminal – 70.7%-owned by ExxonMobil – relies on long-term contracts and expects to have a utilisation rate of 90% between 2017 and 2019, the...
