The state of Alaska will not fund any further promotions for the proposed Alaska LNG project, Governor Bill Walker told members of the Resource Development Council last week.
“I’m not putting any money in my budget for next year for the gas pipeline,” Walker said according to local media.
The 20 mtpa LNG project would cost more than $40 billion to construct, and budget shortages are “draining state reserve accounts”, he said.
