Mexico’s non-associated gas in freefall

Pemex invested 35% less in H1 2017 than it did in H1 2016, as the state-run company cuts back sharply on E&P

Mexico’s gas production from the start of 2013 to June 2017 fell by 8.7% compared with the equivalent 54-month period from 2007 to June 2011, according to the Mexican government’s Fifth Annual Report, which was released last week. Non-associated gas production fell by nearly 40% on a like-for-like basis, while associated gas production ticked up by nearly 10%.
