Chile expects to reach an energy swap deal with Argentina in the coming days, Chilean Energy Minister Andres Rebolledo told Reuters on Thursday.
The deal is expected to cover both gas and power. “We made a proposal to Argentina, and we are very close to reaching an agreement,” Rebolledo was quoted as saying.
Argentina struck a deal with Chile earlier this year to import up to 276 million cubic metres of gas during the southern hemisphere winter, which runs from 1 June to 31 August....
