Russia and China are still discussing a western route for gas supplies, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has said.
“The [talks on gas supplies from Russia to China via a western route] have not been suspended, they are ongoing,” Novak told reporters.
Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corp. signed a sales-and-purchase agreement for the Russian company to deliver gas via the Power of Siberia pipeline – the so-called eastern route – in 2014.
