Coal to remain part of Poland’s energy mix – prime minister

Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo has said that coal will remain an important part of her country’s energy mix because of the importance of the mining industry, Polish News Bulletin reported on Friday.

“We are aware that in the modern world every country must develop its economy and its energy sector in a way that ensures its security to the fullest possible extent, which is what we are doing,” Szydlo told delegates at the International Mining, Energy and Metals Industry Summit in Katowice.
