Golar, which is heading the consortium to build an LNG terminal and gas-to-power plant in Brazil’s northeastern state of Sergipe, expects the project to financially close in Q4 2017.
"The strengthening Brazilian currency against the US dollar, together with a more attractive financing solution than originally anticipated, are further enhancing what was already a most-attractive expected project return," said the company in a statement on Wednesday.
