Golar to close finance on Brazilian LNG terminal and power plant in Q4

By Staff reporter 31 August 2017

Golar, which is heading the consortium to build an LNG terminal and gas-to-power plant in Brazil’s northeastern state of Sergipe, expects the project to financially close in Q4 2017.

"The strengthening Brazilian currency against the US dollar, together with a more attractive financing solution than originally anticipated, are further enhancing what was already a most-attractive expected project return," said the company in a statement on Wednesday.
