Six foreign companies to make Brazilian debuts in 14th bid round

Six foreign oil and gas companies may make their debut in the Brazilian market next month during the country’s 14th bid round of exploration blocks.

The potential newcomers include Malaysian state-run company Petronas and two independent producers, Indian-based Capricorn and United States-based Murphy Oil, Brazilian newspaper Valor Economico has reported.

A total of 32 companies have signed up to bid on the 287 offshore and onshore blocks.
