Gulf of Mexico gas shut in as Harvey hits the US

Nearly 19% of oil and gas production the United States Gulf of Mexico remains shut in as Hurricane Harvey continues across East Texas and southwestern Louisiana.

On Thursday the US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement estimated 19.0% of US gas production in the region, or 17.3 million cubic metres per day, had been shut in, marginally down from the 19.1% reported on Monday.
