Statoil to explore with YPF in Bajo del Toro

Norwegian giant Statoil has announced it will explore for unconventional oil and gas in the Bajo del Toro block in Argentina’s Neuquén Basin with state-run company YPF.

Norwegian giant Statoil has announced it will explore for unconventional oil and gas in the Bajo del Toro block in Argentina’s Neuquén Basin with state-run company YPF.

“This is a light oil exploration project in a world-class unconventional resource play – the Vaca Muerta formation,” said Tim Dodson, Statoil’s executive vice president for exploration.
