Power demand boosts Asian spot LNG prices

Spot LNG prices in Japan, South Korea, China and Taiwan were up by 4.38% last week as demand from power generators picked up

Spot LNG prices in Japan, South Korea, China and Taiwan averaged $5.71/MMBtu last week, up by 4.38% from a week earlier as demand from power generators picked up. Prices rose to $5.85/MMBtu on 25 August, the highest for the month to date.
