China’s gas consumption will rise by 11.0% in 2017 on an annual basis, to 229.7 billion cubic metres, BMI Research analysts predicted in a note on Friday.
The growth forecast is higher than a previous prediction of 9.0%.
"This brings our forecast closer to that of the National Energy Administration, which anticipates domestic gas demand to hit 230.0 bcm this year," said the analysts.
Consumption is forecast to expand by an average of 10.0% over the 13th Five-Year Plan period, to reach 297.5 bcm by 2020 – below...
