Santos to supply export gas to South Australia

Santos has agreed to supply gas destined for its LNG export project in Gladstone to South Australia in anticipation of supply shortages.

Santos has agreed to supply gas destined for its LNG export project in Gladstone to South Australia in anticipation of supply shortages, according to Platts. The move comes after pressure from the federal government.

Engie has agreed to supply 387 million cubic metres of gas to the Pelican Point Power Station in South Australia from January 2018 using a mix of gas destined for Gladstone LNG (GLNG) and from Santos’s portfolio. This is likely to affect LNG export volumes from the plant.
