The European Commission has adopted two proposals to finalise an agreement with Switzerland on linking the EU’s ETS with the Swiss version of the scheme.

The European Commission has adopted two proposals to finalise an agreement with Switzerland on linking the EU’s Emissions Trading System (ETS) with the Swiss version of the scheme, the commission said on Wednesday.

Once the agreement takes effect, participants in the EU ETS will be able to use credits from the Swiss system for compliance, and vice versa.
