Russia’s Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District is planning to put 46 oil and gas blocks up for auction in 2018.

The government of Russia’s Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District is planning to put 46 oil and gas blocks up for auction in 2018, the region’s public relations department has said.

According to materials for a district government session that took place on Friday, auctions are planned for Ai-Kurussjy, Verkhnenazymsky, Vostochno-Konitlorsky, Karabashsky, Lebyazhy, Mytayakhinsky, Polevoy, Shugursky and Yuzhno-Sanlorsky sections.

Oil production has been declining in the region by an average of 1.5% since 2008, according to information on the government’s website.
