Bolivia papers over cracks with Argentina

Bolivia appears to have made up for a deficit in gas exports to Argentina in May by over-exporting in June and July

Argentina boosted its gas imports from Bolivia in June and July after political friction between La Paz and Buenos Aires led to a reduction in volumes in May. 

Bolivian state-run company YPFB over-exported gas to Argentina in both June and July, according to Argentine state agency Enarsa, which oversees the country’s gas imports. The contract between the two countries stipulates minimum Bolivian exports of 20.3 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) from 1 May until 30 September.
