The startup of Inpex’s Ichthys LNG plant in Australia’s Northern Territory will boost the value of the state’s exports by A$118 billion ($93 billion) by 2050, according to NT News.
The figures were released by ACIL Allen Consulting, which compiled a report for Inpex detailing the impact the plant would have on the local economy.
The project is 92% complete, according to Hitoshi Okawa, director of corporate coordination at Inpex, although the final 8% is proving challenging. Ichthys is expected to start up in March...
