Dominion Energy’s Cove Point LNG plant “is in its final stages of construction”, the company has confirmed to the United States Energy Information Administration (EIA).

“It is 95% complete as of 2 August and expected to be in-service in Q4 2017,” the EIA reported in its latest Natural Gas Weekly Update.

Cove Point is located in Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and will be the second large-scale liquefaction facility in the Lower 48 states to begin operations and the first on the East Coast.
