China’s Liaoning province aiming to use 15 bcm/y by 2020

The Chinese province of Liaoning aims to use 15 billion cubic metres of gas per year by 2020.

The Chinese province of Liaoning aims to use 15 billion cubic metres of gas per year by 2020, according to guidelines on the development of gas use released by the provincial government.

The aim is for all cities and 85% of counties in the province to be able to access pipeline supplies by 2020, with gas representing 8% of the local energy mix. The length of the provincial gas network will reach 3,000 km.
