Argentine state-run giant YPF reported Q2 2017 profits of ARS 272 million ($15.36 million) on Tuesday compared with a loss of ARS 753 million for the same period a year earlier.
The company said earnings were boosted by the higher average gas price resulting from government incentives for incremental production.
YPF said it brought 21 new tight gas wells online in Q2 2017.
