Shell Energy Europe will start providing power to the UK’s industrial and commercial sector, including Shell’s British assets, from early next year, the company announced on Monday.

The decision comes after Shell started providing energy to the industrial sectors in Italy, Germany and Turkey earlier this year and signals an attempt by the oil and gas major to adapt to a future dominated by renewables.
