Bangladesh asks China for $1 bln loan

Bangladesh has asked the China-based Asian Infrastructure Development Bank for a $1 billion loan to fund infrastructure projects.

Bangladesh has asked the China-based Asian Infrastructure Development Bank for a $1 billion loan to fund seven infrastructure projects, including energy, rail and roads, according to the Dhaka Tribune.

One of projects is designed to improve the Titas gas field’s output efficiency and involves building a 181-km gas pipeline from Bakhrabad to Chittagong. The project has already been approved.
