UAE denies actions against Qatar violate trade agreements

The United Arab Emirates has denied that actions it has taken alongside Bahrain and Saudi Arabia against Qatar violate World Trade Organization agreements.

The United Arab Emirates has denied that actions it has taken alongside Bahrain and Saudi Arabia against Qatar violate World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements.

“The sanctions imposed by the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain did not contradict the agreements of the WTO,” said Juma Mohammed al-Kait, an assistant undersecretary in the UAE’s Economy Ministry, according to state news agency WAM.
