Qujing pipeline gas consumption up 42%

Qujing city in south China’s Yunnan province consumed 5.19 million cubic metres (MMcm) of pipeline gas in the first half of 2017, up by 42% from the previous year, according to local media.

Factories used 3.68 MMcm while local households used the remaining 1.51 MMcm.

Qujing sources its gas from the China-Myanmar pipeline. It was the second-largest gas-consuming city in Yunnan in 2016, increasing consumption by 60% year on year, to 8.60 MMcm.
