Anadarko has finalised two marine concession contracts with the government of Mozambique for its 12 mtpa Mozambique LNG plant, bringing it another step closer to reaching an FID.
The contracts grant permission for Anadarko to design, build and operate the marine facilities for the project.
Anadarko will now focus on the resettlement plans, which will involve moving around 2,000 Mozambicans from their homes to clear the site for the facility.
The company is still in talks with buyers to secure contracts for the LNG on a long-term basis....
