Australia’s LNG exports hit 51.4 mt in FY2017, representing a 37.2% increase year on year, according to Adelaide-based consultants EnergyQuest. LNG exports from Australia could hit 63 mt in FY2018 as Gorgon LNG ramps up production and new projects, such as Wheatstone, export their first cargoes. A total of 4.9 mt was exported in June, up by 2.0% from May.
