Factories and households drive Chongqing gas consumption

Chongqing in southwest China consumed 4.82 billion cubic metres of gas in H1 2017, up by 8.9% year on year, according to the local authority.

Chongqing in southwest China consumed 4.82 billion cubic metres of gas in H1 2017, up by 8.9% year on year, according to the local authority.

PetroChina supplied 3.44 bcm of this gas while Sinopec provided 1.38 bcm.

Households used 1.53 bcm, up by 6.1%, while demand from factories increased to 2.95 bcm, up by 11.5%.
