Gazprom has started construction on a difficult underwater section of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline in the Russian republic of Yakutia.

Gazprom has started construction on a difficult underwater section of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline in the Russian republic of Yakutia, Valery Golubev, the Russian gas giant’s deputy chief executive, told reporters on Wednesday.

“Regarding the laying of the linear section, it is already 80% finished along the whole distance across the republic. Now there is a genuinely difficult underwater crossing there.
