The European Commission has approved Ineos’s acquisition of the UK’s Forties Pipeline System (FPS) and interests in the North and South Graben Area Export Lines (GAEL spurlines) from BP, the commission said on Monday.

The FPS and GAEL spurlines are an integrated oil and NGL pipeline transport and processing system in the UK’s northern North Sea. Ineos is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, speciality chemicals and oil products.
