Vaca Muerta set for big rise in oil and gas output – Woodmac

By Staff reporter 13 July 2017

Wood Mackenzie has forecast a significant increase in oil and gas production from existing projects in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta formation.

Output will rise to 91,000 barrels per day of oil and almost 11 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) of gas in 2018, up from 58,000 b/d and 6 MMcm/d in 2017, the consultancy said in a report released this week.

This equates to a 56% increase in crude production and an 83% increase in gas output.
