China’s LNG import capacity is expected to grow by 8.6% per year, to 100 mtpa by 2025, according to a document jointly released by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration on Wednesday.
China’s gas storage capacity, including for LNG, will increase by 17% per year from 2015 to 2025, to reach 40 billion cubic metres, while its pipeline gas import capacity will rise by 7.6% per year over the same period, to 150 bcm/y.
