Indonesia will find it hard to hit gas targets – state gas executive

By Staff reporter 13 July 2017

Indonesia will struggle to meet its targets for gas use, Antara News has quoted the commercial director of state gas company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara as saying.

Gas is expected to form 23% of the national energy mix by 2025, which means gas consumption will need to double over the next nine years.

To achieve, this 40,000 km of gas pipelines will need to be built along with several LNG hubs to distribute the fuel to Indonesia’s many islands.
