Fortuna FLNG FID pushed back amid Ophir cutbacks

Ophir Energy has pushed back the expected FID date for its 2.2 mpta Fortuna FLNG project in Equatorial Guinea. FID is now likely to be made in Q3 at the earliest.

In a trading and operations update released on Wednesday, Ophir said steps still need to be taken with shareholders for the FID to be reached. The offtake agreements still need to be awarded and the debt facility must be finalised before the financing can be closed.
