Financing agreed for Bangladesh’s first LNG terminal

The International Finance Corp. (IFC), has signed a financing agreement with Excelerate Energy Bangladesh to facilitate the construction of the country’s first LNG terminal at Moheshkhali Island in the Bay of Bengal, according to The Financial Express.

IFC is the private sector arm of the World Bank, which is set to finance the United States-based company’s development of the project in the form of debt-equity partnership on a 70/30 ratio.
