Curtis Island LNG exports hit 1.7 mt in June

LNG exports from Curtis Island off Australia’s northeastern coast increased to 1.70 mt for June, a 1.4% increase compared with the 1.68 mt exported during May, according to data from the Gladstone Ports Corp.

Three plants are based on the island: Shell’s Queensland Curtis project, Santos’s Gladstone facility and the ConocoPhillips-operated Australia Pacific LNG project.

The majority of exports from the plants, which amounted to 9.86 mt in H1 2017, were delivered to China, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia and India.
