Japan’s JGC will help build Jordan Cove LNG plant in the US

Japan’s JGC has been selected alongside United States-based companies Kiewit and Black & Veatch to build the Jordan Cove LNG plant in Oregon, which will be the first export project on the US west coast, according to the Nikkei Asian Review.

The plant is expected to cost $5-6 billion and JGC’s portion will account for around $1.76 billion of this. Canada’s Veresen is the owner and developer of the project, which has yet to take FID.
